Fade Golf Shot: How To Perform The Presto Fade Technique™

February 3, 2011 by Gordon Jackson Leave a Comment

fade golf shotOne way to hit a fade golf shot is to perform the Presto Fade Technique™ during your set up routine.

I have designed, developed and perfected several techniques to lock-in a fade ball flight alignment during the setup proceedings and then, to hit a fade golf shot.

One of my favorite techniques of how to hit a fade  is the Presto Fade Technique™. The instructions to perform this technique are easy and simple.

Although in most instances the preferred shot is to hit your golf ball straight, there are instances in a round of golf where a fade ball flight is preferred.

The specific golf swing instructions to perform the Presto Fade technique™ are:

First, ground the sole of your clubface in the middle of your stance before gripping your club, whether your clubface is centered directly behind your ball or away from your ball.

Second, straighten your legs to the maximum extent and lock both of your knee joints. Keep your knee joints locked until the completion of the fifth step below.

Third, grip your left hand on your club in a conventional manner.

Fourth, unlock your knee joints and keep them unlocked.

Fifth, then grip your right hand on your club with either an overlapping, interlocking or baseball style of grip.

Sixth, complete your grip by locking the lifeline of your right hand squarely and securely on your left thumb.

At this point you should have a locked-in fade ball flight alignment.

Sixth, center the sweet spot of  your clubface as near as possible to the back of your ball  (unless already so centered), assume a comfortable stance and posture to your ball and align your shoulders parallel with your directional line, the imaginary line on which you want your ball to fly initially.

Seventh, then it is just a matter of keeping your head steady, your left heel planted and executing a simple golf swing. You should then watch your ball fade about one degree to the outside of your shoulder line, discounting wind conditions and elevation differences between your feet and, between your stance and your ball.

This is a unique golf method to hit a fade.

It should greatly improve your golf game..

Try it. You will like it because it may be the coolest way ever to hit a fade golf shot.
